Over 33 years in the Philippine foreign service, with posts in Washington D.C., Mexico, New Zealand, Saudi Arabia, Chicago, Guam, and special envoy roles. Retirement and establishment of charitable organizations. Family life with his wife Caridad, 4 children, 11 grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren.
